Hydrate Caribbean Expansion Programme

I worked with Hydrate Caribbean, Newport Water's social enterprise initiative, to develop proposals supporting the expansion of its school and public hydration programme across the Caribbean. The programme provides access to filtered drinking water through hydration stations while encouraging the use of reusable bottles and reducing reliance on single-use plastics.

My role involved taking the initial project concept and developing it into detailed proposals, including the programme structure, proposed regional expansion, implementation approach, projected reach and environmental impact. I also researched and developed impact calculations to demonstrate the potential reduction in single-use plastic bottles and designed the final proposal documents.

I developed two grant proposals, including a submission for the Caribbean Investment Forum 2026 and IUCN - Closing the Caribbean Plastic Tap Programme, adapting the programme and its case for support to suit each opportunity.
