Role
Video Producer
During my internship at the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in 2021, I produced a range of news stories covering community, education, culture and current affairs in Barbados. My work involved researching stories, conducting interviews, filming, writing scripts and editing stories for broadcast.
Selected stories included:
- Flooding in Speightstown — Coverage of flooding and its impact on the surrounding community.
- The Essential Owen Book Launch — Coverage of the launch of a new publication featuring speeches by Barbados' former Prime Minister, the Late. Hon. Owen Arthur.
- UWI Prepares for the New Semester — A look at preparations for the upcoming academic semester at The University of the West Indies.
- Slow Food Barbados Soup Kitchen — Coverage of the organisation's community food initiative.
